Well said.
However, the profit motive IS shared by religious and community based homes as well. They are ALL in it for profit. It is only the degree that is different, and that is not based on the ownership status.
I would question the contention that privately owned facilities have taken over. Maybe so in some areas. New facilities here are not necessarily fully occupied. And for good reason. No doubt that will change as people become more desperate for places.
